#PSA With the successful operationalisation of East Coast Integrated Depot (#ECID) in Dec 2025, we’ll be carrying out the works to disconnect the East-West Line (#EWL) tracks from Changi Depot.

🚇 From 14 to 17 Mar 2026, there will be no #EWL train service between Tanah Merah to Expo stations to facilitate these works. Train services between Tuas Link to Pasir Ris stations will continue to operate normally.

🚆Shuttle train: Expo ↔️ Changi Airport every 7 mins
🚍 Shuttle bus service S8: Tanah Merah ↔️ Expo every 5-8 mins

To reduce travel delay, do consider using alternate MRT lines or regular bus services where possible.

🚗 Based on LTA's monitoring of traffic conditions in Jan 2026, traffic has built up at various stretches of expressways.

📅 To manage congestion at these locations from 23 Mar 2026, ERP rates will be increased by $1.00 at the following 4 locations during specified time periods.

🚘 We're also closely monitoring traffic conditions in the Orchard area as speeds have persistently been lower than optimal.

ℹ️ The rates for other gantries remain unchanged. The number of locations and timeslots charged remains lower than the number charged pre-COVID. More information can be found in the visual.

🚨 #Reminder Both PMD and PAB riders must be at least 16 years old and pass the mandatory theory test before they are allowed to ride on cycling paths.

🚨👮 With regular tip-offs from the National Private Hire Vehicles Association and National Taxi Association, we caught 5 more drivers providing illegal cross-border ride-hailing services at land checkpoints recently. All their vehicles were impounded.

🔍 Since July 2025, we’ve checked over 3,200 vehicles as part of our ongoing efforts to safeguard commuter safety and protect the interests of licensed drivers.

⚠️ Drivers caught providing illegal ride-hailing services face up to $3,000 fine and/or 6 months’ jail, and possible vehicle forfeiture.

#ICYMI From 1 Jun 2026, only users certified with genuine medical needs will be allowed to ride mobility scooters on public paths.

The following user groups are exempted from the certification requirement:
❌ Users aged 70 years and above
❌ Applicants of MOH disability schemes assessed to require mobility support
❌ Beneficiaries of government-subsidised mobility scooters

🚗We’re improving the road network in the Tuas South and Pioneer area to support future industrial developments and consolidation of port activities in Tuas over the next decade. 🚢

🛣 The enhancements include:
1️⃣Construction of Tuas Road Viaduct 2 (TRV2), an extension of the existing Tuas Viaduct, and
2️⃣Widening of these road stretches:
-Tuas South Ave 3
-Tuas South Boulevard
-Pioneer Road
-Tuas South Avenue 5

Works started in 2025 and will be progressively completed by 2030. Motorists can look forward to greater connectivity and shorter journeys in the area!

Five of the impounded devices were caught using the new Speed Measurement Device, which can detect illegal modifications by testing a device’s top speed even when stationary.

⚠️#Reminder Non-compliant devices pose severe fire risks. For your safety, only buy compliant devices from trusted retailers, and check second-hand devices for defects and modifications before purchase.

🚇 #PSA: We’ve awarded two civil contracts for the construction of Downtown Line 2 extension (#DTL2e) stations!

🚆 DE1, along Sungei Kadut avenue, will be constructed by Woh Hup Engineering Pte Ltd.

🚆NS6/DE2, the new NSL-DTL interchange station between Yew Tee and Kranji stations will be built by a joint venture between Samwoh Corporation Pte Ltd and China Communications Construction Company Ltd (Singapore Branch).

🏗️ Construction is expected to start in 2Q 2026.

🛠 Optimise Assets – We are strengthening the core of the network through the renewal of systems and better management of spares. With a unified condition monitoring approach, and greater use of robotics and automation, we can spot and fix issues earlier and more effectively.

👷 Upskill People – A stronger network needs a future-ready workforce. We are building deeper technical capabilities and strengthening training through the Singapore Rail Academy, while recognising and supporting the rail transport workers who keep Singapore moving every day.

#PSA As announced by PM Lawrence Wong today, we’ll be revising the Preferential Additional Registration Fee (PARF) rebate schedule and cap. 🚘🚖

🤔Why are we reducing PARF?
PARF, applicable to cars and taxis, encourages early deregistration to ensure safety and reduce vehicle-related pollution. As more people buy less-pollutive electric vehicles, there is less need to encourage such early deregistration.

Most were linked to #PMDs, especially non-UL2272 certified devices. Fire safety risks still remain despite years of regulatory tightening since 2016.

From 1 Jun 2026, it will be an offence to keep non-UL2272 e-scooters.

🙌 We have installed all the steel plates in the #CircleLine tunnel between Paya Lebar and Mountbatten stations.

✅ Finishing works are now ongoing, after which we’ll rigorously test all the replaced components to ensure the tunnel is safe for passenger service.

At the end of this month, we will start works on the next tunnel 🚇 Stay tuned for updates!

#Update Bus arrival time predictions have now been restored to above 90% 🚌

✅ Since 21 Jan, we’ve been working with the contractor to restore the system’s performance, which included clearing the memory cache and and manually updating firmware on all affected buses. In some cases, the transmitters were also replaced.

👀 Commuters can check bus arrival timings at bus stops and interchanges, as well as on the http://MyTransport.SG/ app and other third-party apps.

We have also started upgrading the fare and bus fleet management systems, which will be completed over the next two years.

We thank commuters for your patience and understanding during this period.

🚗We’re improving the road network in the Tuas South and Pioneer area to support future industrial developments and consolidation of port activities in Tuas over the next decade. 🚢

🛣 The enhancements include:
1️⃣Construction of Tuas Road Viaduct 2 (TRV2), an extension of the existing Tuas Viaduct, and
2️⃣Widening of these road stretches:
-Tuas South Ave 3
-Tuas South Boulevard
-Pioneer Road
-Tuas South Avenue 5

Works started in 2025 and will be progressively completed by 2030. Motorists can look forward to greater connectivity and shorter journeys in the area!

👮 Yesterday, our #AMEOs caught 36 offences and impounded 19 non-compliant active mobility devices in an operation targeting non-compliant devices. #UpLorry

Five of the impounded devices were caught using the new Speed Measurement Device, which can detect illegal modifications by testing a device’s top speed even when stationary.

⚠️#Reminder Non-compliant devices pose severe fire risks. For your safety, only buy compliant devices from trusted retailers, and check second-hand devices for defects and modifications before purchase.

🚇 #PSA With the successful operationalisation of East Coast Integrated Depot (ECID) in Dec 2025, we’ll carry out the last set of works to disconnect the East-West Line (#EWL) tracks from Changi Depot.

To carry out these works, there will be no #EWL train service between Tanah Merah to Expo stations from 14 to 17 Mar 2026. Train services between Tuas Link to Pasir Ris stations will continue to operate normally.

What are the alternatives available?:

🚆 Shuttle train: Expo ↔️ Changi Airport every 7 mins

🚌 Shuttle bus service S8: Tanah Merah ↔️ Expo every 5-8 mins

🚆🚌 Other MRT lines or regular bus services

💰 Fares for the shuttle bus services will follow the same fare structure as trains.

🚇 #PSA: We’ve awarded two civil contracts for the construction of Downtown Line 2 extension (#DTL2e) stations!

🚆 DE1, along Sungei Kadut avenue, will be constructed by Woh Hup Engineering Pte Ltd.

🚆NS6/DE2, the new NSL-DTL interchange station between Yew Tee and Kranji stations will be built by a joint venture between Samwoh Corporation Pte Ltd and China Communications Construction Company Ltd (Singapore Branch).

🏗️ Construction is expected to start in 2Q 2026.

🔥 #DidYouKnow: There were 49 fires involving Active Mobility Devices (AMDs) in 2025?

Most were linked to #PMDs, especially non-UL2272 certified devices. Fire safety risks still remain despite years of regulatory tightening since 2016.

From 1 Jun 2026, it will be an offence to keep non-UL2272 e-scooters.

🚨👮 With our continued enforcement efforts and tip-offs from the National Private Hire Vehicles Association and National Taxi Association, 8 drivers were recently caught for providing illegal cross-border ride-hailing services at the land checkpoints. All their vehicles were impounded.

🙌 We have installed all the steel plates in the #CircleLine tunnel between Paya Lebar and Mountbatten stations.

✅ Finishing works are now ongoing, after which we’ll rigorously test all the replaced components to ensure the tunnel is safe for passenger service.

At the end of this month, we will start works on the next tunnel 🚇 Stay tuned for updates!

#Update Bus arrival time predictions have now been restored to above 90% 🚌

✅ Since 21 Jan, we’ve been working with the contractor to restore the system’s performance, which included clearing the memory cache and and manually updating firmware on all affected buses. In some cases, the transmitters were also replaced.

👀 Commuters can check bus arrival timings at bus stops and interchanges, as well as on the http://MyTransport.SG/ app and other third-party apps.

We have also started upgrading the fare and bus fleet management systems, which will be completed over the next two years.

We thank commuters for your patience and understanding during this period.
