As part of the AKOFADA Project, Shega has been localizing DFS terminology into Amharic and Afan Oromo by reviewing existing translations, fixing inconsistencies, and making key terms clearer and more usable.

We are now inviting feedback on the Amharic translations through a validation session.

Although the agent network has expanded significantly, most agents remain inactive. Many process only a handful of transactions each day, making it difficult to sustain operations and cover costs. Over the weekend, this work continued in West Oromia, where an organized, vibrant, and colorful DFS community edutainment event took place in the center of Ambo.
