Back in high school, I once knew a guy who was extremely gifted academically and physically. A subject that would take a normal person two hours to study, he could do in half an hour and still get the best grades. That is how gifted this person was. Also, whatever sport we played, he knew how to play it and was good at it.

I distinctly remember the bored look he always had in class - that blank stare into nothing. Because he was bored, he would sometimes engage in a bit of tomfoolery with his friends, get into trouble with the teachers, and overall make good memories.
That guy had a friend who sat next to him, and this friend cheated at everything. He was a master cheater. I hated his guts. Overall, he was a mediocre student, but he somehow found his way.

Neither of them ever went to university. They would always say that studying was boring.

Years passed, and this mediocre guy now owns a food place in town and got married. One day I was walking past that place, and guess whom I found working there?

That guy - the gifted one - slumped next to a wall with that same bored expression on his face.
I am not trying to belittle him. After all, it is halal money. I am just saying that if Allah has gifted you with something, use it - even on things you find boring or not worth it.

Never allow boredom to overtake you or become the deciding factor in your life.

🇧🇦🇮🇷 Sarajevo: Flowers Laid at Iranian Cultural Center Despite Protest Ban

Despite a ban on a planned protest, a group of Sarajevo citizens walked from Baščaršija to the city center on Saturday and laid flowers and banners in front of the Iranian Cultural Center near the Eternal Flame monument.

Banners carried messages such as:
• “Stop American aggression against Iran”
• “America killed 165 girls aged 7 to 12 in Iran”
• “Long live the resistance of the Iranian people against American imperialism”

The protest, originally titled “Peaceful protest walk for the innocent children and people of Iran - children are not a target!”, had been banned by police due to "security risks" (😂).

Citizens of Mostar gathered in the streets to oppose the coming war with songs. It is safe to say that the songs did not benefit them, nor did they prevent the jewel of Herzegovina from being put under a grueling siege in which many people would lose their lives. They simply lulled themselves with songs into a false sense of security and went back to their homes. The generations after them will be more in touch with reality.

War Banner of the Bosnian Army from the Battle of Mohács

One of the decisive battles for the Ottoman Empire in terms of its conquests in Europe was the Battle of Mohács (in Hungary), which took place in 1526.

From this battle, the war banner - or rather its remains - under which the Bosnian army fought has been preserved. It was discovered in Tešanj. According to the preserved tradition of the Tešanj family Šehagić (Ferizbegović), it was brought there from the battlefield by their ancestor, who was likely the standard-bearer.

Experts from the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina conserved it and returned it to Tešanj. Today, it is housed in the local museum as a valuable exhibit of Bosnian history dating back 500 years.
